Lilly Grace's Shabby Chic 1st Birthday!

So my baby girl turned ONE yesterday, yes ONE!!! Oh my goodness time sure flies...I know I have been MIA from blogging lately, but we have been one super busy family! We celebrated Lilly Grace turning one vintage shabby chic style! I am in love with all things shabby chic, and so shabby chic first birthday party for my girl it was! My mother has a collection of shabby vintage decor, so the decorations were beyond precious, and perfect for a girly birthday! From the old tablecloths, to the roses, to the doilies, to the fabric banners, to the ruffled cake...this little girl sure had one precious party! I have to give a shout out to my mother for all of her amazing help, I couldn't have done it without her! Here are the pictures from her big day!

Her adorbale shabby chic romper by Harper Sophia Boutique I found on Etsy!
My mom made her this shabby chic hat!

This adorable shabby chic hat only cost $10 to make with materials from hobby lobby and here are the simple instructions!

My mom made this shabby fabric banner for her high chair! The smash cake was made by Carly Cakes & Co! I love how it turned out with the little rosettes!
The main dessert table with white chocolate covered strawberries, the ruffle cake, old fashioned pink popcorn, and mint candies!

The beautiful peach ruffle cake made by Carly Cakes and Co.!

The tutu with her picture on the front door!

Adorable mason jars with shabby cupcake liners and pink stripe straws!

 Old fashioned pink popcorn!
Pretty chocolate covered strawberries with pink sprinkles!

 My beautiful birthday girl!

                                                                                                                                                                              Smash!

Half A Year Old!

Lilly Grace is now 6 months old! Time is a flying! She is such a little love bug, she has really been the perfect final piece to our family! She is blossoming so much as of late, and really starting to show us her little personality (or should I say big personality!)...she is a firecracker! Chris and I are in for it :)

Here's where she's at now:

*She's a skinny minnie! She weighed in at 14 pounds 1 oz at her 6 check up (%25)
(she went from the 10th percentile at 4 months to the 25th so that was great!)

*She is 25 1/2 inches long (%25)

*She is sleeping from 9 at night to until about 7 in the morning and takes 2 or 3 one hour naps every day!

*She still has bright blue eyes, and her hair is blonde with a hint of some red lately!

*She just started solids this past week, we started on the oatmeal and formula and skipped the rice cereal...and are now starting sweet potatoes!

*She is the smiliest little girl all the time!

*She can sit up on her own for a little bit, but not fully by herself quite yet...she just tries to stand right up!

*She is already up on all fours and rocking and scooting, crawling is coming any day...Oh my!

*She adores her brother more than anything in the world, and all she wants to do is be with him!

*She is in size 2 diapers and just moved into 6 month clothes!

*She loves watching baby Einstein DVD's, they are her favorite!

*She had her first tooth come in last month and now it is all the way through!

Happy half year Lilly Loo, we love you!!

4 Months!

Lilly Grace is now 4 months old! She is doing new things this month and her personality is really blossoming! She had her 4 month check up last week and she is healthy as a horse but  a serious skinny minnie! I'm not used to this stuff, haha I'm used to chunker baby in the 100th percentile like Joshua was...Doc says her weight prob has mostly to do with the reflux, so we switched her from Zantac to Prevacid and have already noticed a huge difference! She is eating normally now and 6 oz instead of 4! So hoping it continues to work until she grows out of this stinky reflux! Here's where she's at now!

Weight: 12 lb 8 oz (15-20%)

Height: 23 3/4 (25%)

Head: 16 in (50%)

*She still has bright blue eyes and longg eyelashes (I'm so jealous!)

*She is belly laughing as of this month!

*She is in size 2 diapers and size 3 month and 3-6 month clothing!

*She is napping 2 times a day for 2 hours and then sleeps from about 10-7! Such an awesome lil sleeper just like her brother!

*She loves her door jumper, and has figured out how to jump in it as of this month!

*She eats 5-6 oz every 3-4 hours now!

*She hasn't yet started oatmeal even though Doc gave us the go ahead to start any time now, we're gonna wait til 5 months like we did with Joshua!

*She still adores being in the baby Bjorn, not so good for mommy's neck so daddy tends to wear it some at night if she gets a lil fussy, she immediately gets happy in it!

*She started Prevacid this month, and takes half a tablet twice a day (she doesn't mind the taste at all!)

*She is rolling front to back and now back to front all the time!

*We are working on her sitting up now every day!

*She is grabbing things like crazy, and everything  is going to the mouth!

*She smiles all the time!

*She loves her Little Lamb swing and still naps in it!

*She can now touch both her feet in her Jumperoo and she loves jumping in that while brother plays!

*She has enough hair now for bows and I am loving it!

Happy 4 months Lilly Loo, we love you!!

Lil is 3 Months!

This post is 2 weeks late, but sweet little Lil is 3 months old now! She is just an angel baby, and we are enjoying our new little addition so much!! It's awesome now that she's starting to communicate and do activities etc! Life has gotten leaps and bounds easier in just one short month, it's amazing! Lilly is the happiest little baby now, I'm so glad we figured out she has a milk protein allergy sooner than later, it changed her life with the new formula! Here's where Lilly Grace is at now!

*She weighs almost 12 lbs!

*She is in 3 month and some 3 to 6 month clothes (she's long and skinny!)

*She is just now moving into size 2 diapers!

*She eats about 5-6 ounces every 3-4 hours!

*She is able to roll front to back and almost back to front now all by herself (we had to say goodbye to the beloved swaddle as soon as her rolling started she flipped over for the first time at night yikes that was super scary!)

*She is a smiling little thing all the time!

*She talks back to us all the time now it's so sweet!

*She is on a routine at this point with sleep and naps which is awesome! She goes down at night at 11 and sleeps straight through until 7 am!

*She really adores her
playmat these days and grabs at the animals like crazy!

*She has bright blue eyes still, they're definitely not changing!

*She just started in her jumperoo this week (with a pillow behind her head) and she loves it, she's had full neck control for while now!

*Her hair is really growing fast! (and darkening up a TINY bit but still blonde)

*She adores her big brother, truly just beams when he's talking to her it melts my heart every time!

*We have finally been getting out of the house again a lot as of this month finally, fresh air feels so good!!

Lilly Grace Is 2 Months Old!

Baby girl turned 2 months old yesterday! And oh man she is a totally different baby now than her first month...we JUST discovered last week that all her fussiness and pain when eating was due to the fact that she has a milk protein intolerance, which means her body can't digest milk...so we switched to Similac Alimentum (for milk allergies) and oh boy she has been a different child! Don't get me wrong i know crying comes with every baby the first few months, but episodes of colic will just about kill you! We just hated we knew she was in pain and didn't know how to help her when she had her crying fits! And now she is truly the smiliest happiest girl, no more pain!! So all is good in the hood now!

All for LG, she is such a doll baby! She is JUST like her brother, not only are they twins they act exactly alike! She is really focusing now and smiles all the time and coos and is pulling at things now! She just had her 2 month check up yesterday and got the dreaded first round of shots ughh hate them every time, way hard to watch for me!...she was pretty miserable yesterday poor thing! She looks great, she's a long skinny minnie at this point, unlike her chunk brother haha! Funny thing is they eat the same amount now, looking back on where J was!  But yet he was a pound & half bigger, but she has grown an inch half longer...curious to see where she is at 4 months...She had a rough go at it this last month with the ER trip and being sick and having the milk allergy poor thing, i can already tell she's chunking up faster now!

Here were her stats:
*Weight- 10 lbs 4 oz's (7 lbs 4 oz at birth)
*Length- 22 1/2 in. (18 3/4 in. at birth)
*Head Circ- 15 in.

Here's where she's at now!

*She has bright blue eyes and her hair is still getting blonder!

*She is a smiley little munchkin, so happy all time now!

*She wears 0-3 month and 3 month clothing, and size 1 diapers!

*She eats 4-5 ounces every 3 hours!

*She sleeps 7 or 8 hrs at time normally from 11-6 or 7!

*She loves her floor mat, and is now pulling at the hanging animals as of last week!

*She is a daddy's girl!

*She loves watching Mickey Mouse in the morning with her brother!

*She still adores bath time!

*She has a dimple on her left cheek!

*She loves looking in the mirror and being carried in her Bjorn!

*She lovess her big brother, when she hears his voice she smiles!

*She had he first ER trip last month for a fever, and boy was that traumatic for all of us! Praying we're not back there any time soon!

*She can lift her neck so high already on her belly, and has been rolling front to back!

*She's now cooing!

She's a little love bug, and we are so in love with this sweet girl!

Lilly Grace is 1 Month Old!

Wow it's been forever since I've last blogged!..I guess having a newborn in the house will do that to you! Lilly Grace is just the most precious little girl! And her brother is loving her and to our surprise super protective over her! We had no idea how he would handle her after 3 years of having every bit of attention from everyone, but he is so gentle with her and loving on her it melts my heart! It has been a pretty exahausting first month; between the lack of sleep, J and I having bad colds (gotta love winter) and trip to the ER last week...I'm just so glad this week looks like it's returned to calm again! We had an emergency trip to the ER with LG (wow super scary experience) for a high temp she spiked all the sudden...I pretty much knew it was the inevitable cold virus J and I gave her, but when they're under 2 months you have to be admitted just to be safe...between the IV she had to have and the spinal tap and staying in the ER for the standard 48 hours...and it did end up being just a virus after all that, so thankful!...we're all just glad this is a new week and everyone in the house is back to healthy again! Phew, having a baby in the winter is just not fun with all the sickiness going around!

Anyways, LG is a cutie patootie and we are just loving having a baby girl in our family now! It truly feels complete now! She had a great one month check up and is looking great!

Here's where's she's at now at One Month Old!

*She weighed 8 pounds 13 oz at her one month check up last week (50%)

*She is 21 1/4 inches long (50%)

*She is a petite little thing!

*She is strong as an ox! She can lift her neck so so high on her stomach!

*She wears size 1 diapers and size 0-3 month clothes and some 3 months onesies...I had to pack up all her newborn clothes (tear) she outgrew them all...I forget just how fast they grow!

*She is a great little eater and eats 4 oz every 3 hours!

*She loves loves bath time and will stay in there content as can be the entire time without a peep!

*She loves watching cartoons in the morning with her brother!

*She loves her Little Lamb swing so much!

*She loves her brother so much, and loves laying with him!

*She unfortunately has pretty bad reflux and her doc put her on Zantac (hoping it helps some) and really bad gas (she's quite the tooter) which is finally getting better just last week, the first few weeks were pretty rough!

*She has lots of spikey blonde hair and  bright blue eyes (apparently I'm just the oven, my kids are their father!)

*She's a great little sleeper (just as of last week) and sleeps from about 1030 to 430 eats and then back down til 730!

*She is just really starting to look at me and focus, and I get a little smirk like smile every once in a while...I can't wait for the real smiles to come soon!

*She is a daddy's girl!

*She loves when mommy and daddy do bicycles with her legs, really helps with her gas!

*She loves tummy time on her mat, it's her favorite!

*She loves wearing pink, it's her favorite color ;)

She is the cutest little button, and we are so blessed we finally have our little girl to complete our little family!

Full Term!!

Today I am 37 weeks and full term, hallelujah! Wow, I felt like it was never going to get here this go round! Yes, I am beyond huge...
(Again, please excuse the photo...although I got showered this morning, there was no time for hair or make-up)

We had our 37 week check-up and our ultrasound yesterday, so two appointments (totaling a wait of like 2 hours) phew..thankfully hubby took off yesterday so he came with me to knock out both...my OB appointment went same ole same...fundal height is measuring right on track at 37 weeks and blood pressure was great...aside from the startling fact that I am up from my starting weight of 103 to now 148...(yes that's right 45 pounds, YIKES)...I guess that's why I'm waddling...Oh well, I gained 50 with Joshua so I guess I just put on that weight...Good thing it comes off super quick!...So since I am going in for a planned C-section at 39 weeks, the only way I would have her earlier is if I went into labor on my own so they checked me for dilation, and I was not dilated just cervix really thinned...so we'll see if she'll stay in for two more weeks or come earlier..

Then we had our ultrasound appointment just to check up on her growth and the cord, and everything looked great still...she measured 36/37 weeks all around and weighed in at 6 lbs 10 oz...(although they said it can be off up to a pound in either direction)...but she looked great, super duper stuffed in there poor thing...the cord is still borderline right on the edge...so while technically he said I COULD do a vaginal delivery since it is not a full blown velamentous insertion he said, my OB is still going with the safer route is a C, so we're definitely just going to still proceed in that direction to be on the safe side.

So now we just wait, and see when she wants to grace us...Unless she decides to come earlier, November 3rd is the date! We're completely ready for her...our hospital bag is all packed, hers is packed, all her clothes washed and hung...carseat is installed...check, check!...I seriosuly cannot stop nesting, I swear all I want to do all day is clean and clean some more...at least my house is spotless...hurry up now baby!

Joshua's 3 Years, Say CHEERS!

Saturday we celebrated my little love turning 3 years old...how can this be!?...We decided to just do a low key party 2 weeks shy of his actual birthday this year just to make sure we squeezed it in before baby girl comes...he told me he wanted to do a bigg Mickey Mouse cake, so Mickey it was! We really our Mickey these days...and so we just did a small party with our family and closest friends with Mickey, BBQ, and a big bounce house for the kiddos...we couldn't have asked for more amazing weather it was so perfect, and everyone had the most wonderful time! And Joshua said "it was the best day ever!" So even though it was all thrown together last minute, I'd say it was a huge success!
