Catch Air and Friend Run In.

I ran into a high school classmate of mine at Hippohopp last week, then again at the park the next day..small world! It was so nice catching up and we have boys about 8 months apart which is great....and she's also a SAHM, and we live like 15 minutes apart, way awesome...I'm so glad we ran into each other or we never would have maybe never hung out, not to mention we seem to always be going in the same circles anyways..we had a great time taking the boys to Catch Air (our first visit) and then Panera for lunch today! And Catch Air is definitely a new place for us for rainy weekdays! Joshua had an absolute blast! It's a great place to let your kiddo roam and not have to worry about them running off if you turn your head...they have a great safety system and door/gate to keep them in! (one thing I wish Hippohopp had)..Joshua loved the big slides and tunnels, and got down and danced on the dance floor too! It's a little drive for us, about 25/30 mintutes, but definitely a new place we'll be adding to our rainy/cold day list!

Outdoor Fun in the ATL! (our favs)

Living in Atlanta sure has its perks when the warm weather hits!! And now that Joshua is completely self mobile we can pretty much do everything, I'm so excited for this warm weather fun! Here are some of our favorite outdoor places you can find us this spring and summer!

1.) Zoo Atlanta
Oh the zoo is so wonderful for kiddos! We went yesterday and bought a membership now that he is old enough to really understand all the animals (and they are his obsession right now!) The membership is SUCH a deal if you live close enough to go often, it pays for itself in 2 visits for a whole year! I braved the zoo alone and it was actually a breeze! The best time to go is around 2 pm, when the animals are feeding so they're all out for the most part, and the place was empty we loved it! Joshua is obsessed with all things monkey, so we watched them forever he laughed so hard it was hysterical...then after seeing most of the animals we ventured over to the kids zoo for train rides, carousel rides,  petting zoo and playground fun! And oh boy did he love riding the train, we rode multiple times! It is just a great place to spend a weekday afternoon (or weekend if you don't mind the crowd) enjoying all the cute animals, strolling under the banboo and just having a blast!


2.) Piedmont Park
You can find us here ALL the time in the spring and summer! Between the water fountains for kids to run through, the playground, feeding the ducks, and the big open fields we spend lots and lots of time here when the warm weather hits. The have a great playground not hear any roads which is nice, so we usually start and here and then head over to feed the ducks and roam the fields and play soccer and frisbee...then when the warm weather is here to stay we hit the play fountains all the time! We also enjoy picnics with daddy during the week, he meets us since his office is right by Piedmont park, we sure love it here!

2.) Botanical Gardens
This is such a fun place to go and enjoy the beautiful scenery and let the little one's explore nature...it's a great place to go the be surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants and has a great place to let the kiddos take in nature with a two acre Children's Garden with giant caterpillars and butterflies, and an amphitheatre, water play area to cool off on a hot day! Oh and yummy food too for a lunch break!


4.) Turner Field
Now that Joshua is completely self mobile we are going to love going to see the Braves a lot! My hubby and I used to go all the time, and I'm excited to start going a lot again! I already bought Joshua his little Braves jersey and hat!..Oh i cant wait to watch my Braves, yummy hot dogs, and family fun at Turner!

5.)  Stone Mountain Park
We don't come here a ton, but i am so excited to take Joshua to a laser show and train ride this spring/summer! The laser shows runs from pretty much nightly at 9 pm from march to august...i know it will be late night but so worth it, i know he's going to go crazy for it! They also have great open fields for kids to roam on, and i want to take him on the scenic railroad that takes you around the mountain! I have a feeling now that he's a full blown toddler we will be coming here a lot more this spring and summer!

Oh I'm so excited for warm weather fun with my little man this year! (and daddy on the weekends :)

Red Keds.

There's something so precious to me about a classic pair of red keds on my little man! I got these for him at the Outlets in blue and red and I just love them on him...

   he said to me "cool shoes mom"...

And I love the velcro so that he can put them on all by himself...

Gotta love some red Keds!

Things I Love Thursday.

Things I Love This Week!

*I Love that the hubby has half days today and tomorrow and we are going to go to the park, Aquarium and The Varsity!

*I Love that we ordered our sectional and rug for our deck, I can't wait to get it out and buy all my other Spring decor!

*I Love that we knocked out most of Joshua's Spring/Summer wardrobe..gotta love the Polo Kids, Carters, and Stride Rite Outlets!

*I Love Chick Fil A's Chicken Tortilla Soup I tried for the first time, so yumm!

*I Love that we got the Zoo Atlanta membership, I can't wait to use it all Spring/Summer...Joshua's gonna be in heaven!

*I Love that we have two birthday parties this weekend!

*I Love that it's going to be 75 and sunny today, HELLO PIEDMONT PARK!


*And of course I love that it's almost the weekend, hooray!

Day With Daddy.

I love when my hubby takes a day off work to spend family day!...I so look forward to them!...he took off yesterday since he worked Monday instead and we had the best day! We went to the park in the morning because Joshua wanted to "go kick soccer ball"...it's his new favorite thing, we go play on the field almost every morning...we bought him a soccer ball the other day he loved playing so much.

Then we went to lunch at Wendy's...Joshua's loves him some cheeseburger and fries! We're a chick-fil-a fam but every once in a while we head here, he loves it!

Then we headed home for nap time and when Joshua woke up we headed over to TCBY for from frozen yogurt! Joshua asked for "nilla ice cream" and "sprinkles please"! He scrarfed it down! Mommy and daddy got the banana fosters fro-yo (with peanut butter cup topping that is) and man was it yummy!

Then we headed over to Joshua's favorite place and daily request these days, Fernbank! He loved showing daddy the exhibits and running through the playroom with daddy chasing him! He never slowed down for one second until we left at 5 when they closed!

Days like this remind me just how blessed I am to have these two guys in my life! They are my heart...we just had the most wonderful day yesterday! I love that the hubs does this with us as often as he can, I treasure these days!

Things I Love Thursday.

Things I love This Week!

*I love that I got two dinner dates this week; my hubby took me to Wahoo Grill in Decatur for Valentine's dinner, it was amazing to have a romantic candlelit dinner, just us time and enjoy delicious seafood...and i love that i also had a girl's dinner last night with two of my best girlfriends; we went to Noche for some tapas and girl talk...we do girl's dinner once or twice a month and it is just so wonderful!

*I love that the hubby and I are going cosmic bowling this weekend, and that my mom begged to come sit so we could go out..we haven't been in forever and I'm excited to kick his butt!

*I love the half spicey chicken ceasar salad from wendys, it's the perfect little size and oh so yummy!

*I love that we're getting our backyard all cleaned up working on our deck this weekend, i'm so anxious for warm weather and to be out there all the time!

*I love my little man's new haircut, I had it cut shorter and he looks sooo cute!...and I love Pigtails and Crewcuts, they always do the best job!

*I love Boudreaux's maximum strength butt paste (yes, a total mommy comment) but Joshua got the WORST diaper rash from his antibiotic this week and it cleared it up like overnight!

*I love that we're going to see the IMAX today at Fernbank...we've already been twice...little man loves it so much I have to limit it to once a week!
