And Preschool Begins!

So August 23rd was Joshua's first big day of preschool! He was so excited he woke up and said "I'm ready for school mom!" So we packed up his little rocket backpack got all dressed and headed off for his first day!

He is going Tues and Thur's in the 2 1/2 year old class (actually the same preschool his daddy went to! AND the director of the school taught him...so crazy!)...his school is in downtown decatur which we love because the area is just wonderful and we are going to hopefully send him to Saint Thomas More (also where his daddy went) for kindergarten right next door! This mommy had a way harder time than he did, he actually he wasn't phased one bit! He walked right in his classroom and waved "bye mom and dad I'll see you later!" I was so relieved because I wasn't quite sure how he was going to do! I couldn't help but shed a few tears as I had to pry myself away from the classroom...after all it's the first time I had to leave him with someone else that long in 2 1/2 years!

30 weeks!

So today I am 30 weeks, finally at the single digit week countdown! Yesterday we had our every 4 week ultrasound to check on baby's growth and everything measured right at 30 weeks...she is in the 50th percentile for size which is great..and she weighed in at 3 lbs and 5 oz...I don't know how she's fitting in my little belly but she is right on track and growing perfectly!...It was however kind of an emotional day because I learned for the first time that with my cord insertion issue that we discovered that there is a good chance I am going to have to have a C-section early to prevent going into labor on my own and having complications with the cord...it's not for sure yet, but it's a strong possibility...at first I was like really, just because I wasn't prepared for it..but now I'm honestly completely fine with it because I know that this way she is going to come out without any complications, and as long as that happens I am completely okay with it...and since she's growing perfectly and has no growth restrictions at all so far so that's the key thing we're happy about!

And I am almost done with the entire nursery, it has been so much more work that I thought it was going to be, but I am soo in love with it!...I can't wait 'til the finishes touches are all done soon! I'm just waiting on my curtains, crib skirt and canopy to be ready to pick up from my lady as well as the bookcase I ordered to get here and it's all done! Pictures to come soon!

And other than the mad heartburn and lack of sleep (i.e 4 bathroom trips a night) I'm having to make that prevent me from my wonderful deep sleeps, I'm chuggin' along! Hoping these last weeks fly by with all the many activities on my planner!

Helloo 3rd trimester...and 28 wk 3D pics!

Today we went to Stork Vision for our 28 week 3D ultrasound..and I have soo been looking forward to this for weeks! It's just so amazing the technology these days...she actually cooperated fabulously and we got some great pics! It is crazy just how much her 3D pics look like Joshua's...same exact nose it's so funny...we got some great pics and video clips that I will just treasure forever!

Oh and hellooooo 3rd trimester! I'm 28+5 days today...almost near the 10 week or less mark!!

First Baby Girl Buys!

I must say buying baby girl clothes is way more fun than boys, there's just so much cute stuff out there!...my poor hubby is gonna go broke, hehe! I bought baby girl her first few clothes this past week...along with these super cute buys i ordered online, her going home outfit...

...Seriously, these little newborn crochet Mary Janes, OMG.

 ...and of course some Gamecock gear to wear just in time to cheer on the last 2 months of football season!  

How cute right!?

,,,and nursery painting starts this Monday, our painter had to push it back a week...i'm so anxious to for the room to be done getting painted so we can get everything set up in there! Pics to come soon!

26 weeks and ultrasound!

I will be 26 weeks this thursday, hellooo almost 3rd trimester!...We had an ultrasound today and hubs and I got to see baby girl,  we just love getting to see her so much! We are going every 4 weeks since 20 weeks just because of a cord positioning thingy, it's a totally normal variance where it inserted like a bit on the outer side of the placenta and not right in the middle...so we just have to get a monthly ultrasound because like 2% of the time it can cause a little growth restriction, but not with baby girl..At this point she's measuring right at 26 weeks all limbs and body parts and she weighed in at 1 pound 13 ounces, so almost 2 pounds! It's crazy to think we're getting so close now! She is a mover and a shaker already, she was kicking the whole time...she is still transverse, which is apparently why I feel so much pressure down low ughhh...but Doc says he thinks she move into head position hopefully soon which relieves the pressure a good bit, so we'll see! Total weight gain/loss: Up 1 lb from 24 weeks so up to 21 pounds!

 Maternity clothes? Nope...still in my maxi dresses every day!

Stretch marks? No, but lots of veins!

Best moment this week: Our ultrasound today!

Miss anything: Not having heartburn!!!.. Ughhh as of last week heartburn has hit with a vengeance out of nowhere...tums are really helping! 

Movement: Yep lots!

  Food cravings: Breakfast sandwiches ughhh i wish i didn't...i craved them so bad with J too...a bacon egg and cheese biscuit is so heavenly to me right now...and still any kind of potatoes and pastas!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Chinese yuck still can't go near it!

Have you started to show yet: Yep! Really starting to pop out more as of last week!

24 weeks!

So I am 24 weeks today, which means baby is now viable hooray! I had my 24 week check up yesterday and everything was good; blood pressure, heartbeat, my fundal height measured right at 24 weeks so that was all good news...next I go for the dreaded glucose test at 28 weeks and we also have our 3D ultrasound scheduled for that week too!..crazy to think that I've already reached viability week, now time is not going by so fast anymore ha...but at least I have the nursery we just started last week that'll keep me busy the next weeks to come so that's fun!...our painter comes next week to paint and install the beadboard, and i've already purchased all the fabrics for the crib and curtains and the bought the rug...then my mom and i have had fun buying antique pieces like this antique chest we found that we are stripping down and high glossing and an old rocker and ottoman I'm having recovered...It's really fun this go round getting to do a baby girl's nursery, I can't wait to get it all up and done! Hopefully it will get me to 30 weeks quick!

24 weeks!

Total weight gain/loss: Oh goodness still gaining! (Up to 122 pounds, so up 20..yes 20 pounds total as of this week..my doc says it's totally fine since i started out so low, but this new found insane appetite of mine sure caught up with me!)

 Maternity clothes? Nope...still in my maxi dresses every day!

Stretch marks? No, but my belly is getting more veiny so I'm just waiting to see if I get some this time..In the meantime I'm lathering my belly every day with my Belli cream!

Best moment this week: Hubby really feeling kicks and rolls now!

Miss anything: Being able to breathe! My nose is so stuffy and sometimes a little bloody and my gums are really sore!

Movement: Yep, feeling kicks every day..and I swear I'm feeling tiny hiccups since last week!

  Food cravings: Lately it's salads with loads of ranch dressing, Panera, grapefruit, and cheeseburgers!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still mexican and chinese, can't eat it!

Have you started to show yet: Yep! Although i'm carrying this baby girl so low I feel like she is going to fall out some days!

Better Late Than Never! {Preggo Post, 20 wks}

Sooo in case anyone missed it on facebook we're pregnant with number 2! We waited a while to tell everyone because we like to get through the first trimester before we announce anything...It's been a rough pregnancy compared to my last to say the least, i've been way more sick with this one than Joshua...which led me to think the whole time it was a girl and a few weeks ago we found out low and behold it is a GIRL!! We couldn't be more excited for this little girl and for Joshua to be her big brother :) We always knew we'd want a little girl to complete our family, we are so blessed! Last week we got to see this at the 20 week ultrasound, she was doing flips nonstop (clearly my child) and our sweet girl gave us a little smile...

all her organs looked perfect and everything measured right on track, heartbeat in the 150's same as usu...I know i won't remember to do it every week, but for memory keepsake I'll try to keep up with these preggo posts as best I can!

How far along? 
20 weeks, halfway there!

Total weight gain/loss: Up total of 10 @ last week's appt, (Trying to keep it under 35 pounds, gained 50 with J oops!)

 Maternity clothes? Nope.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Best moment this week: Seeing our baby girl on ultrasound.

Miss anything: In this insane heart, a nice cold beer or margarita i sure do miss...although watching my hubs drinking one even turns me off!...Oh and being able to breathe, as of the 2nd trimester my nose is soo super stuffy!

Movement: I feel kicks every day! Started feeling them at 17 weeks, and since last week hubby can feel the kicks too, they're always pretty low!

  Food cravings: Same as from beginning...potatoes, potatoes, and more potatoes...grapefruit, pineapple and red meat, and my biggest craving...GYROS mmmm!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Mexican and chinese blahh...although mexican is ok sometimes, i sure do miss it since i used to eat it at least twice a week!

Have you started to show yet: Yep! Although i'm carrying so much lower with her than J! Low and compact this go round...i feel like he was up much higher!

  Gender: A GIRL!! :)

Labor Signs: No!

  Belly Button in or out?  Very out! 

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy...esp. now that i'm back to the land of the living!
